That's one of the only xG maps I never had fun on. You basically had to play scout, solly, or demo to do well.

-1 in my opinion i have seen some toxic moments with you brady also whenever i need a staff member on jb the ones who get in are jaydow, chrono, and sometimes pepper i understand you might be in school but i haven't seen you on in like a week.

I'm gonna go ahead and be honest here, no one likes spawn protection. I don't like it, you don't like it, no one likes it. As much as everyone dislikes it, it's a necessity. Spawn Protection has always had one function and one function only. To break spawn camps and deter spawn killers. Does it reliably work? No. Is it something that should be removed because it gives your opponent an advantage? No. Is something worth keeping on the server? Yes. I would argue that spawn protection is probably one of most loved/hated things on the server but it's required in order to stop people from dying when they're only halfway out the door. The fact that people still continue to die even after they've had a chance to break a spawn camp goes to show that the "benefit" of removing it doesn't outweigh the advantage it gives to the losing team. There's not much else to be said than what's already been said before by everyone else. If anything the only time I can imagine spawn protection serving it's purpose well and reliably is when teams aren't completely stacked and the camper in question is right up next to the door where you're at your "strongest". 5 Seconds may also seem like a lot but it's really not much to work with especially if the camp itself is pretty strong. The fact that hardly anyone ever coordinates an attack until well into like and hour also means people just constantly throw themselves into whatever is on the other side without any backup half the time. If spawn protection was removed these problems would just get far worse. Asking to remove it because it didn't do enough for the team or because it's unfair is ridiculous. Also chances are, if you're dealing with someone who has spawn protection you probably shouldn't be in that area in the first place.

I agree that it is pretty annoying to kill someone near their spawn and they just quick spawn back and come out to kill you with like five seconds of god mode basically but still I would rather have this way over the alternative where you don't have any all. If we were to remove it and just say no spawn camping that would would be the most time consuming thing to watch for staff and it would be awful for this server, especially considering how the surf server which does have that rule and how it is usually more difficult to get in/to the enemy spawn than here has this problem almost constantly. Also if we were to just remove it and allow spawn camping it would most likely just end up with people leaving considering how bad spawn camps can get at times. So I'd just say -1 for this and to keep the system as is.

It depends on what server you're talking about.

Spawn protection reduces the risk of spawn camping (obviously). Spawn camping will usually lead to population going down or people just getting fed up and leaving. Whilst I agree spawn protection can be irritating when they can attack you, but you can't attack them, I feel as though having some sort of resistance to spawn camping is important and without it the server could suffer. I'd say it's the best meet in the middle option for allowing spawn camping and making sure people don't leave as a result of it -1

I hope I will too but it's not just incredibly hard to treat someone with respect when you are not treated the same, However, it has always been my view that if someone is not treating you with respect you don't give them any respect. If they are incredibly nice you treat them the same but as you can see by on person here I have been shown that and am doing the same thing they and several other staff do to me. You are one of the best staff I know of and I hope you stay on for a long time.

Division Team Fortress 2 In-Game Name Xg`tree Identity STEAM_0:1:54017102 Position Moderator Time Active on Servers 5 days 10 hours Information So I applied like a little while ago and I got denied because of my inactivity because I wasn't able to play TF2 because my computer died. I was told to just reapply when I got a new computer. I'm happy to say I have just recently received a new computer and am ready to play once again on the servers I love so dearly. Anyway that's it this is my new application.

Fighting someone with spawn protection is always annoying and honestly I feel fighting people would be more fair with it removed.

Even though i'd personally love spawn protect to just get removed fully we need to keep it because it's more frustrating to die as soon as you spawn to a unforeseeable sticky trap or something than someone running out of spawn and killing you with spawn protect which is easily avoided by just staying further away from spawn if it becomes a reoccurring problem to you dying and even then there's some maps where spawn protect will most likely fade before you even leave spawn unless you're a scout and go straight outside (realms, delivery, outset, jolly rodger) -1

This is a good idea when you look at it first but is not a good idea when you think about who is going to stop spawn-killers and spawn-campers. I wish there was a system implemented on surf like the spawn protection on other XG servers because a lot of the time the "trust method" of allowing players to be trusted not to kill someone in their spawn does not work most of the time and when it does work, Its because they weren't going to anyways. (thats just me though)
