1. This is actually useless. This was the old weapon config I made that replaced Playpoints for a while. It's no longer on the server... for now...
2. @SnowyDimples, I think you could answer this
3. Honestly, all rules need to be revisited, re-worded, and reviewed on the servers. Especially since some haven't been updated in a while, and people are dinguses with loop-holing. Now, on to the actual theme of the thread... I'm neutral for now. Supreme, you've been here for a long time and have done a lot for the community, it's really commendable. Every now and then though, you kinda stray from the rules to enforce something that you personally don't approve of. Kind of in line of what @grap_grop said. Heck, you recently removed a guy's spray and told him not to use it again because you were bugged by it even though it was following rules. I know you're a good guy and mean well, I just feel like you might be a little sensitive at times. Other than that, you're doing a good job. I'd like to see you move up within the ranks in the future, though, just perhaps not at this moment.
4. Whoa, are you a young Joel?
5. This guy's been playing on FF2 for a very very long time. Really nice, mature player. Regularly playing for over a year, easily. He changes his name a lot, but if you've played on FF2, chances are you've played with him. One question though, is your age right in the info above? Just curious, since it needs to be accurate. If so then: +1 A:9 M:9 Long time player, should have been a member a long time ago.
6. All the info you need is here: Member Submission Guidelines. (read) | Xeno Gamers
7. Wait, what? When did this happen? Honestly, FF2 shouldn't really have Bhop... Even though it could be fun, I can just forsee Hales jumping around at Mach 5...

9. Yup. Within the mapping community it's fairly frowned upon changing things without permission. Every now and then a mapper outright says they don't care, but it's rare. If you guys give me time, I can ask first. If he tells me no, then someone else will have to do it, since I'll honor their request. Obviously, no xG logo unless one of us in xG actually made the map, cause then it looks like we're taking credit for it.
10. Link didn't work on phone, I'll try to make my lame joke later...
11. I was thinking something a bit more... Subtle... If we're just gonna meme it up, then you can't go wrong with the old xg favorite:
12. Yeah, I can do it when I get home from work. What do you guys want me to replace the texture with?
13. @Matteomax and @Krampus movin' up in the world. Conglaturation guys.
14. I'm neutral for now. Logic is a nice guy, but it's been a while since I've played with him. On the topic of the weed thing, however... I don't care if a person smokes weed, drinks, or snorts chocolate powder in their free time, just don't do it on the servers. We've had several past staff members who would get wasted while on the servers, I personally don't approve of it, but I'm not their dad. Like @Kypari said, it could make the community look kinda bad, but I feel that goes for anything that can alter a person's judgement. I personally wouldn't want to play on a server where a staff member is bragging that they can't see straight because they're so drunk/can't see their monitor past all the weed smoke/are currently "cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs".
15. I was also there. He and another guy named Headshot Scott were both getting some pretty suspicious looking shots in as Sniper. Unfortunately, I only have a demo of Scott's sketchy shots as Dan here was pocket Medic-ing him. Later on though, when he switched from Medic to Sniper, he was doing the same. Shots that should've been bodyshots or even misses were landing as Headshots. As he was Sniping outside of his spawn, he seemed to know where enemies were coming from, even if he hadn't seen them recently. Nutty's demo of Dan looks similar to the demo I had gotten of Scott: hitscan and scott.dem -1 for now. Seems far too sketchy to me. hitscan and scott.dem
16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81L3ylAn234 In seriousness though, why not just replace the texture on the brush and just call it a day? Unless the map is awful and that's another reason for it to be removed.
17. Got permission and the original .vmf file of the mario_v1 DR map from it's creator. Time to throw that on the pile of projects I have...
18. Aaaand another update. After talking with a few players in the Deathrun server about themes, the idea of an abandoned military base came up. I liked the idea and started working on it a bit. That idea later evolved into an abandoned Mann Co. Facility. Part Mining facility, part Australium digging site, part weapons testing facility. Here's a sneak peek at the new theme via the newly revamped spawn area/control room: Better than the beta GRAY AND ORANGE theme it originally had, the new theme will remain continuous throughout the entire map. The traps, the minigames, everything will stay on theme. I'm also changing the design of the map slightly. It'll still be a minigames style map, however if the minigames idea doesn't do so good I've set it up to simply have the minigames at the end of the Deathrun and for the map to just change over to being a regular DR map.
19. Ban seems justified. -1 for unban. While you're serving what little is left of your day ban, I'd advise you to change your spray, "smh" binds, and attitude if possible.
20. Whoa, you're actually taking a break from Deathrun for longer than 5 mins? Spooky. Enjoy your vacation, dude.
21. 100 times this. Just because a spray isn't "your cup of tea" doesn't give you grounds to punish them on it. For example: If I were to have a spray of a skeleton, most people would see it and probably just think "Haha, doot doot, my dude". However, there are people out there who could find it disgusting/disturbing because of their beliefs, and I hope if someone were to report me for having a skeleton spray you guys wouldn't respond with "Oh, well I guess since it offended someone we have to perma ban him". Even if the spray followed the rules. Now, I don't know what the contents of the spray were, but if it were actually breaking our current spray rules then yeah, punish the person according to procedure, not jumping straight to perma bans. Otherwise don't perma ban someone for having a spray of Brussels sprouts "because they're icky".
22. Oh, and @KSPlayer1337. If you do decide to update/improve the map in the future, I'm totally open to collab with you on it.
23. I will now attempt to address all the concerns brought up in this thread thus far: True. However, you could simply speed the Death up to counteract this. Example: Gmod Deathrun uses mostly CS:S maps, and in those maps are a (now obsolete) entity called a Speedmod. What it does is as soon as Death spawns on it, he's given a speed boost. Not for certain amount of time, but by setting his base walking speed higher than that of the runners, since most CS:S maps didn't include a pusher. Our Deathrun plugin has this ability built in. We could simply boost Death's base speed up to, or just above, the Runner's max Bhop speed (which would also solve rushing issues on maps without pushers). Next you're going to say: "What's the point of Bhopping then if Death's speed is higher or equal to the max Bhopping speed?" Simple. Bhopping is for trap avoidance/mind games with the Death, trying to throw him off to prematurely activate the trap. Since Bhopping also increases the amount of strafe control you have, it makes baiting a more viable option, especially if players have more confidence in trying to bait the Death other than "Welp, someone has to die here". This would hopefully reduce the amount of delaying on maps, since people might actually try to progress. Psykopat has tons of obstacles to avoid as well. Areas where you could fall, die from an auto trap, or be stopped for a short period of time as you try to break a object in your path. Bandicoot also has a lot of areas that could interrupt Bhop flow, as it were. Since there are areas you'd need time well. Hell, Bandicoot even has a Bhop minigame. Scripts are just autohop binds, which is literally a feature in the plugin I linked (though it is optional). Even if someone is using an autohop script, they'd still have to know how to strafe correctly. You could even make the necessary amount of strafe increased. So you'd have to make a larger strafe to build speed, but the reward would be worth it. I don't believe there's a script to automatically strafe for you as well, but for Bhopping it would be incredibly inaccurate, since you'd have no control of it whatsoever. Nothing you can do about the buttons, honestly. That's just bad design. If Death's speed were increased, I'd feel more people would end up dying in the delayed traps more than they do now. Currently, people slightly walk into range of the trap in a straight line, then jump out in a straight line. If they could build speed then they'd have more confidence they could make it all the way through, and probably end up dying from it. Again, Bhopping would mostly be for trap avoidance and not just rushing. Honestly, I didn't expect this much negative feedback from this suggestion, but that's why this is a discussion. After all, we are a community, and if the community would prefer it not to be changed, then so be it. Plus, I'd hate to be known as the guy who ruined Deathrun.
24. Hey, not bad. Glad to see you were finally able to finish a map ;)
25. Same. I used to regular a Gmod Deathrun server a few years back. It's a completely different beast when you can give yourself a boost on some of the slower parts. Delaying wasn't as much of a problem as it is in TF2 because of it. Neat. I'm hoping it won't since it doesn't seem to limit a players speed if they go on speed altering brushes and entities on maps. Looks like it only alters a players base walking speed, hopefully.
