Hey guys! Arthman here. I've heard that the MC server went under and well... that doesn't fly with me. I've asked Aegean and he's allowed me to do so. Let me begin by introducing myself: I'm the former Div Leader for the MC division, years ago. I ran a multi-verse server for xG where every map had different mods on it. I offered Aegean to set up a play server on my side to build it before pushing it live, and he's agreed to look into this with me. I was wondering what do you guys want server wise! Please feel free to drop down suggestions and then, when I have enough, I'll run a poll!

or they might just not post there at all, or do it in another non-xg discord, or somewhere else. that's the entire point of testing it for a while, you can't just assume theyll post dumb shit on the xg discord elsewhere

I'm applying again because I've come to realize that the workload that the courses have "guaranteed" aren't really living up to the expectations so far. I just finished one of my two sports as well so I have much more free time than I did previously. I have the same motivations I had before when wanting to become staff. Don`t worry about that. I`m starting to set up multiverse tonight, i`ll get the basics down and then I`ll probably push a prod server on my personal machine for the time being. I`ll have to properly research and test for Pixelmon in a multi-verse, given that pixelmon`s latest build seems to be on 1.12... I'll get a skyblock (coop no FF) working, a towny (FF allowed depending on the zone) and a factions running ASAP, then test the water for more mods.

Sorry buddy, but you don't quite know the rules well enough for me to +1 you. Often you break rules (albeit you slay for most of it) Blatantly disregarding other players, not listening to mods/admin having to coerce you into following rules.. that's a -1 from me. Bear in mind that if you change the way you act and become what I think could be a good member, I'll deff +1 you.

I actually have been gagged once for complaining about being killed but in my defense I was having a bad day. Doesn't make up for my actions though. I learned from my mistake.

I don't think we should change the rule but if he was shooting out of spawn and it's physically impossible to damage enemy players then why punish him? The rule was set in place to prevent players from damaging others and to prevent them from bothering people while surfing so I find the punishment super unnecessary.

Aside from this it creates needless wordiness and exemptions that would really only serve to confuse people more on when certain things are allowed. It might be a little inconvenient on the less impactful maps but it is easier for everyone that way.

It would be nice if we didn't have to wait three years to have the server up and running as we did with the old Factions and Towny.

I'm not familiar with the toe images, not gonna lie. If there are any disgusting deformations or flesh wounds, I'd say it wouldn't be allowed. Again, I'm not familiar with the toe images since I don't ever actually look at #shitposting without being tagged.

I was trying to emphasize the fact that it would be a very loosely moderated #memes channel. This way you can post all of your incredibly racist and sexist memes without having to worry about getting banned. The entire problem with #shitposting is the huge group of absolute mongs who keep posting loli/beastiality. If no one posted that shit we'd be fine, but it keeps happening. At this point, we can outlaw pornographic/sexualized images, or we can just delete the entire channel. At this rate, I highly doubt we'll be keeping the channel without making some sort of drastic change. If you want to keep #shitposting, you should choose the better of the two solutions.

This is exactly why I said we should attempt archiving first. If they don't cause problems in the other channels we should be fine just silently deleting the channel. Another solution @YeEternalTuna mentioned last night on Discord was to prohibit the posting of pornographic images. Basically, this just makes #shitposting a loosely moderated #memes. I should add that if the vote goes through on removing the channels, we should at least attempt both of these proposed solutions. Archive the channel for a month or a few weeks and take note of the changes in the other channels. Next, remove the channel from the archives and set a single basic rule of "no pornographic or sexualized content." This would act very much like the spray rule on TF2, and most of the Discord staff have been TF2 moderators at one point, or at least present during the revision of the rule. This makes the channel much easier to moderate, and we should decrease the amount of TOS violations on our server.

Since people are fans of Pixelmon, why not add Pixelmon to that? I'm also interested in bringing back Towny, since that shit was lit. @shwash @Thunder @hongkongatron Too bad some of my towny lads stopped playing ? a t a m o A couple of xG friends and I play(ed) on a Pixelmon server, which was enjoyable for a time. We got tired of it because the staff members there were absolutely fucking terrible. It'd be nice to have a well-run Pixelmon server for xG.

theres no reason to think that would happen, and thats also why it was suggested that we archive it first for a while to make sure it doesn't, so we can restore it if there's problems.

multi-world. I miss the old multi-world days where you didnt have to have people bitching about it being factions or it being towny, because you had both, same server same account you just went through a portal and boom there it is. same ip same account, you go through 1 portal and it loads your multi-world inventory etc., you go through the other it loads your factions inventory. (Note: I don't play minecraft a lot, I tryhard and get far in insert mode/modpack here for a few weeks and then i pretty much give it up so take my opinion with a grain of salt.) fun modpacks are always good, a bunch of us burned through FTB Infinity Evolved but pretty much all worked together, something similar but not the exact same pack would be cool to have where it is more open to all of xg, and you can have factions (actual use to all our destructive weapons/magic and OP armor). none of that towny everyone friendly bullshit in these modpacks, they are meant for having epic bases with laser defense and all out war.

I personally have not used the #shitposting channel much, but it seems to be the stem of a lot of drama and toxicity nowadays, and it's honestly getting annoying. Honestly I don't think it's fair to compare this to that spray situation. We have several rules in place for sprays because we don't want porn or gore on our servers, and sprays didn't end up getting disabled because in the end, we can all be mature enough to choose proper sprays, even if there are a few problems here and there. The shitposting channel however, has very few rules or regulations, and pretty much serves only as a place to be immature and toxic. The channel is literally called shitposting, after all. With the spray situation, sprays were going to be removed because of the actions of a bad few, and that was unfair. But this time, the bad few is the majority. Again, I don't use this channel much, so maybe my input has less value. But I personally don't like the idea of a shitposting server in a community like ours. We have a lot of rules set in place to against immaturity, toxicity, drama, and explicit gore/porn. Yet, we have a channel on our discord where none of those things apply, and people can do everything they can't normally do, like post explicit things, spam, and start drama. I don't like the behavior it encourages, and I don't believe it falls in line with the rest of the server's beliefs. If you really wanna shitpost, talk about drama, or post gore or porn or stuff like that, then you should really keep it off our discord, and make one of your own. +1 for its removal.

Considering you have no evidence whatsoever and multiple staff members are saying you were actually armory camping, I'm gonna say this slay/ban is valid. Actually, since you've been banned several times recently, I'm going to extend the ban to 3 days to give you a chance to learn the rules a bit better before playing CT again.

Game Name: Forza: Horizon 4 Platform: Xbox One and Windows. Time Spent: 20 hours driving + bunch of hours modding and making liveries. Do you recommend? I recommend it to all racing game fans and casual gamers with some interest in cars. What you rate the game: 8/10 Initial Thoughts: The game had an amazing intro, it grabbed my attention coming from Horizon 3 I was blown away with seasons. Me and my friends were looking for a game that could get us our fix for racing and modding cars. Also some sweet car meetups. Gameplay and Story: Game is set in the England where this years Horizon Festival is being held. The Horizon Festival is an all car festival where cars of all kinds come to race and meet. The game has multiple types of race from Drag to Cross Country, the game also sports a huge amount of cars (450 at release) that you can tune and mod to your desire. This iteration of the game also adds season, they add variety to the game as seasons act different. The fastest super car might not handle well in the snow so you'd have to try different rides and some areas are accessible during different seasons. The game has a mix of Open world exploration content and by the book races, both are great. Pros: Season - Add variety in game-play and gives it a fresh look each time. Cars - Variety is great from super cars to cargo trucks. Many courses Live Events Online or Offline Modding Cars Creative Hub Cross-Platform Cons: Seasons are fixed - Season last for a week. Licensing Issues - No Mitsubishi cars. No Solo Adventure Windows Store Final Thoughts: This is my go to race game as it has much to offer, making your dream car and racing it Online is a blast. Creative Hub makes it easy to grab preset modifications and iconic skins for your car. The map is smaller then the 3rd one but has more content. It is by far one of the best racing games out now for the casual player. I've sunk countless hours into Horizon 3 and cant wait to spend more time in 4.

-1 I don't really get what's the big deal here, it's not that hard to watch the channel or interpret if something is against tos or not, especially from how straight forward it is. I don't see that much controversy over images and when there is it's handled pretty quickly since the rules are so simple so I don't really get how the channel is as bad as you are saying it is. Which is why it seems to me that you are jumping the gun a bit here over a few people breaking rules and posting lolis or whatever like yesterday, which like what others have said before, you can just punish them and move on like we do on the servers. This reminds me a lot of the whole spray controversy thread where someone went on saying how we should just remove sprays in general to avoid controversy over if a spray should be allowed or not, which just like then I don't think it's a good idea to just remove an entire thing just because of a few baddies which the staff can easily handle. Plus we don't even need to edit the rules here as the tos rules are simple enough. But yeah I honestly don't really use the channel, but a lot of people do like to use it so I'd rather just keep the channel and let people have some fun their when their bored while continuing to punish people accordingly for when they do they break tos.

So I was playing on surf_prelude_b3p and was shooting out of spawn (to try and tpose) and got kicked. This is pretty ridiculous considering this isn't even an arena map and I couldn't shoot a player I could damage. I think we should change he rule a little bit and change it to maps where you can only damage enemy players. That's all this just got me angry and I thought it was stupid and said that and they said to go on the forums so I did.
