Not getting unbanned due to the context and your history, but I would not have banned you a whole day over such an issue. If you ever have a problem, feel free to message a higher-up if you want a second opinion. For everyone here, getting back on to dispute a kick or a mute is not grounds to be banned. That being said, the way YOU try to dispute just ruins the server experience for everyone which is why I'm not unbanning you. You knew exactly what you were doing by playing music in your background despite previous warnings, and you were just baiting staff. Play on our servers to have fun, stop causing unnecessary conflict. ~Closed

It's not an unnecessary measure. It's a teaching measure. Take the situation you are in and apply it to other things, your schooling for example since you are still in primary (k-12) school. you listen to music in class when it is against rules, you get scolded, perhaps sent outside for 15 minutes. you come back and argue about it with your teacher even though you broke the rules, you get detention. think of mute/kick being scolded and sent outside. and your ban as detention. bonk did nothing wrong in this case and followed the correct written "protocol" you know you were wrong, you know arguing with staff is wrong, yet you continually do it. you think you're funny when you do it but you aren't, it's just annoying. When you sit out for the next day, reflect on just why other members in the community verbally say that they don't like you or why staff frequently ignore you or tell you to shut up (especially in 10 mans when you're being rather obnoxious to your own team) and instead grow up/out of it instead of trying to argue more over something you know is wrong. also @Queelsh the day ban is actually proper in that case and in the case of goldfish who is known to constantly argue with staff is rather lenient as he has actually been able to avoid punishment for a few things.

Just to add on a bit, considering you have had a significant history of arguing with staff in the past still haven't learned not to, a day ban is COMPLETELY justified.

you weren't banned for the music in the background (although that is what I initially warned/muted/kicked you for), you were banned for arguing with not only me, but multiple other staff members as well. when they told you the same thing I did you told them the same thing - "you can't punish me for having music on in the background!" if you read the ban on SourceBans, it doesn't say "playing music in the background," it says "arguing, ignoring admins" which was why I banned you keep in mind this music wasn't 'quiet' or 'faint', it was loud enough to the point where a) I could tell it was Enter Sandman by Metallica and b) it was hard to understand you. that is why I asked you to turn it off; if someone has a bad microphone or something in the background that can make it difficult to understand them (read: music) then staff members are by all means allowed to ask them to either fix it or to stop using their mic (unless this has changed since I was an admin, but it hasn't to my knowledge) it's a 24 hour ban, wait it out. @Dannypicacho @Jaydow

I think this is more than enough reason to be concerned, whether or not they are taken as a joke or not, if there's a member making racist, sexist, etc jokes then it's not going to leave a good mark for the clan at all. This ties in with my above point, if you don't care about membership in the first place then how can we be sure that you won't abuse our trust if we did end up giving you member and spew out all sorts of defamatory comments just as an example. This sentence that I quoted seals the deal for me personally, I just can't be confident enough giving you any sort of positive vouch until we see you actually care about membership. I've seen a lot of people say membership doesn't matter, and it doesn't have any authority, well. The fact of the matter, is that members are the ones that build this community, higherups may add things or remove things, or adjust as requested, and the staff team as a whole enforces the rules put in place and tries their best to make the servers a fun and enjoyable place to be, but otherwise most of what is done is completely the communities decision as an entirety(votes, etc). Members are also the biggest group that represents the clan as a whole, so when people wonder what xG is, you are the one that is really showing who and what we are, and poor behaviour, negativity can only lead one to believe that the entire clan is that way, even if it really isn't. I can agree that he holds his opinion even if people hate on him for it, however that could be avoided entirely if that opinion was voiced more calmly and less aggressively. This has already been elaborated on by several others, but it's worth noting that in a situation like this, when a word is clearly provoking someone and making them upset, there comes a point when it's time to stop using the word, especially when it's being used just to bug them. You also note that Segger sounds nothing like the N word, and yet it's clearly the message you are trying to get across that it IS when it's used in such context. To put it short, respect eachother and realize when you've gone too far, I would expect you especially to know this @FrostyBoiGrim . You're membership application has been denied, feel free to reapply in a month.

You have publicly said on our surf server that many of your views align with that of white power fronts in historical and modern times so that alone is enough to make me feel uncomfortable with welcoming you back. You also pioneered nicknames for individuals to loophole racial slurs and insisted on using them and encouraged others to do so, even after the warning of staff on the server. There is also a strong point of your relationship to and involvement to an extent in an event in which certain members of the clan were greatly harassed, slandered, and doxed (the exact happenings of the event will not be brought up here, but I am confident that you are familiar with what I am referring to). I realize to be fair, I personally have not been the most friendly towards you due to these actions, and for that I apologize, but for now I think these actions out shadow what redeeming characters you believe you have to bring to the table.

I absolutely recommend this game What you Rate the Game: (1 to 10) 9 Initial Thoughts I first bought the game when I was around eight years old and still play the game to this day. It’s an excellent game for anyone looking to get into RPGs, but also isn’t very experienced with the genre. The only problem I had with the game is that the final boss can be nearly impossible to beat if you didn’t level up your character in a relatively balanced way. This restricts your play style a little bit if you like going balls to the wall and only upgrade power. Gameplay The game is entered around a turn based system of gameplay, where both the AI and the player take turns attacking each other until either the player dies or until the player drains the computers HP to zero. The level up system in the game works on increments of 100. This means whenever you get 100 points of XP, you get XP from killing enemies and bosses. Each enemy drops the same XP but depending on what type of enemy you kill, will decide how much more XP you get. When you level up you get to choose between three different upgrades: Flower Power, HP (Health Points), and BP (Badge Points). Flower Power The way that Flower Power works is when you use an item acquired through a bagde or your special ability based on what hammer or shoes you are carrying. Each of these items uses FP and when you run out of FP ypu can’t use any more special moves. HP When you get hit by an enemy your HP will drain a set amount (depending on which enemy hits you) the damage will increase. If you stomp on a spiked enemy then you will always hurt yourself instead of the enemy. Once your health is zero, you will be forced to the main menu to either respawn at your save point, or to go to a different save file. BP In game you will earn badges throughout your journey, these badges are used in order to unlock special moves, kind of like the TM Discs in Pokémon. Each bagde costs BP in order to equip, you only have as much as you upgrade for. You start the game with five and each badge costs roughly three BP use (not including sound modifiers). Star Power Star power is the meter that will fill up at the top of your screen when you do stylish moves, strike a pose at the audience, or perfect dodging. Start power is used to activate a special map and crystal stars that you unlock throughout the game. These stars activité some sort of event but I don’t want to spoil that for anyone wanting to play the game themselves. Story In the game you play as the protagonist: Mario. You receive a letter in the mail one day from Princess peach telling you that she has found something amazing in Rougeport. When you get there you find out that there is a door holding a Thousand year old demon. You get a email from the princess telling you that she has been captured at an unknown place and that you need to find the crystal stars so that the captors don’t release the Thousand year old demon. Pros Excelent story fun gameplay funny jokes well aged graphics many hours of gameplay and puzzles Cons One incredibly boring chapter lots of reading (bad if you don’t enjoy plot) some glitches controls can be awkward with the GameCube controller) Final thoughts I think it is an absolute must play game, thta is a little difficult to find nowadays. It is an incredibly fun and mildly challenging game for all ages. If you want to play the game i reccomend going into it completely blind, don’t watch any let’s plays of the game and only look things up if you absolutely need to.

I personally completely disagree with the addition of any kind of command that gives you in game items that other people have had to pay for. People have spent countless hours, pounds/dollars/whatever to obtain some of these TF2 items. The very definition of a massive middle finger is to add free item commands.There's a server I've been on a few times when xG isn't populated and they have a command that can give you Australiums, Unusuals, taunts, etc, to use on their server, yet it is the number one thing that turns me away from playing there. Not to mention that the taunt command is a feature of being a donator. Making perks that people have previously paid for into perks that anyone could have is a big no zone because people have, once again, paid real life money in order to get these perks (or just to straight up support the clan). Making these perks into regular player commands would highly encourage players to think twice about donating as they would be constantly under the fear that the perks they have paid for would end up as a regular player perk. Massive -1 from me.

if anyone needs more context, someone was micspamming and someone of the staff told them to stop or they'd get muted/banned/kicked or something or other and goldfish says "so if I play music does that count as micspamming" and after I told him yes, as well as not to do it because he knows full well that it's micspamming, he does it anyways in the background. I asked him to stop (he didn't) so I muted him, told him directly to turn it off or stop using his mic. Unmuted him, it was still on, I kicked him with the message "turn the music off". He rejoined and the first words out of his mouth were "are you trolling me?" I told him no, I wasn't, and that the music in the background was an issue and from there he argued with me that it wasn't and continuously tried to loophole his way out of a punishment, and I banned him. (fyi I was only going to have the first ban as 10 minutes, but admin discretion comes before moderator and danny had said 24 hours so I went with that) sorry for double post, I couldn't edit in time

Oh boy, here we go. For starters, I would like to mention that just like you, staff are not perfect. We all can make mistakes and bad calls from time to time, but we usually learn from them and improve. That being said, I know that there have been times where some actions and mutes can seem questionable. However, I believe most of that has died down, and staff have become a lot less strict about that stuff. People aren't muted because of a "roll of the dice", we have specific rules on what is and isn't allowed on mic and in chat. And while some staff are a bit more strict about it than others, I believe for the most part, we have enforced these rules the fairest we can. If you disagree, you can always record and submit proof of someone abusing their power. I'd say the same about the arguing thing. From what I've seen, most staff are pretty chill about arguments and discussions. Unless things get really heated or they start breaking rules with their argument, I've rarely seen anyone get muted for arguing. At most, we usually have to step in and break it up, because it's getting annoying for everyone to listen to. But hey, that's just what I've seen. I have no idea what you're talking about with the "admins commonly abuse power". In my entire time being a staff member, I've only seen a few cases of people abusing their power in malicious ways. Again, if you disagree, you can always record it going on and submit proof of it happening, so it can be dealt with. Ranting about it with no proof only makes you look bad and won't change anything. I also don't even know why you're mentioning the spray thing. That happened many months ago, you even say yourself that "this is less of a problem now", so I don't know why you're bringing this up unless you're trying to stir up old drama. Yes, there have been problems with sprays over time, but for the most part, things have been more clarified and everyone is on the same page on what is and isn't allowed in a spray. Don't blame current staff for something that happened a while ago. No offense, but you're really grasping for straws if you think staff not having tags in their name is a serious problem. Besides the fact that sometimes staff have to remove their tags to deal with a calladmin, staff members not having tags in their name has been extremely rare. And even if it wasn't, I don't see how that's a big problem. It's a simple fix and not that confusing. Also, I'd like to talk about the problem of "bias" and "favoritism". These terms get thrown around almost every time some kind of drama involving staff pops up. I don't know if you guys realize this, but no human can be 100% unbiased. Despite this, I believe the current staff are good at maintaining a middle ground and not picking favorites, so that things can be resolved fairly. And as said before, if you witness someone making an obviously biased choice or feel like you have been discriminated against, then you should gather evidence and make a report about it. In conclusion, I'd like to say I'm sorry that you have problems with xG. Again, we aren't a perfect clan, there is no such thing. But I like to think that we all try our best to keep the servers and forums in good shape. I disagree with you on many of your beliefs about staff and such, but we are both entitled to our own opinions, and I am an Admin myself after all, so maybe I am a little biased. In the future, I would recommend that if you have a problem with something like staff abuse, record it or gather evidence, then take it up with higher ups. Otherwise, nothing will change, and it will just seem like you're trying rustle people up and start drama. And lord knows we have enough of that here nowadays. But anyways, I wish you the best of luck on whatever you do next. While I may have sounded critical here, I do genuinely hope you come back. -Precious

-1 I completely agree with Skittle here. Jump academy is a good way for new jumpers to learn the ropes of jumping without having too much of a challenge. And sure there may be dedicated jump academy servers however if XG has one it could possibly lead new jumpers into the rest of the community.

You know you just described loop-holing right? You know that is what that is called right? When someone calls some a 'tigger', them saying that they used a t instead of an n is not a valid defense. Especially if the context shows that it was meant to be loop-holing. Also, if a staff member (really anyone) tells you they do not want to be called something they find offensive, it is generally in your best interest to stop. At any rate, while I do trust Seg's opinion, I have not played with you at all so I will remain neutral. I do suggest however, that you seek to improve how others see you. Just try to be more respectful and don't antagonize others in the servers.

Nope, I'm going to have to -1 this. Even though I myself have beaten jump_academy and all its courses many times I am taking into account the new jumpers. Yes, some of the map is unrealistic like pogo 15 and 10 on timed. Never the less its a great learning experience for the new jumpers so, on behalf of the people who want to learn how to jump and to learn the basics I will have to say that we should keep academy. Everyone has their opinions but I think that academy is a great place to start. You can't just throw a new jumper into jump_sitood and expect them to learn everything instantly, they would probably be stuck on the first few jumps. You have to ease them into jumping and academy is a perfect map for this.

In our tf2 servers i think that there should be tuant commands for us players out there. When i was playing, some one that was a donator was having to find the ID to the taunt they wanted and they were having to do it to other people for them to use it too. There are other people like me that dont have donator (and dont have taunts) becuase they dont have paypal or whatever/aren't old enough to have it. So well these are my reasons of why i think we should have a taunt command that is done in chat for everyone. Even though i know there are not many reasons and this is short, but these are my reasons. Ill see you guys later!

I'm one of the biggest cunts here, no one has taken my title from me for the last year. I only play on the TF2 div for the new Rocket Jump server, but I've recently moved my main game to CS:GO. Haven't done any 10 man games yet, but that'll probably change this weekend or something. If you're looking for a bit more laid back gameplay, go hop on the CS Jailbreak or Minigames servers. I'm also in the top 9,500 players in the world in Osu!Mania, which is about 800th in the United States. Not many people play Mania over Standard mode, but I just find it a bit closer to my style.
