To begin with this issue, I must give you guys a little history lesson. It all started on teamspeak. Our main character, me x3, was sitting in teamspeak. He joins a channel with Bleed and Lithium and asks them if he can setup a minigames server. Lithium probably doesn't say anything and/or calls me retarded, Bleed says sure but don't ask for too much help. And then it began. Our dearest egirl slayer had finally acquired access to an empty server. With a perfect combination of css nostalgia and hatred of the entirety of the TF2 division, he set out to create the sole thing that would revive the dearest Xeno Gamers. To complete his quest, he had to overcome an onslaught of unrelenting memes. They wore down our young protagonist, but he did not break. After failed test attempts where somehow all of teamspeak got the password, Lithium constantly changing the movement settings without telling me then adding a plugin with a inconspicuous name to automatically reset the movement settings to what he wanted, thus breaking many maps, because Lithium is a massive faggot, he saw the light. He must embrace the memes. With his newfound knowledge, he quickly refined the minigames server and released it to the public. This server was born in the memes. Molded by it. There wouldn't go a map without some 12 year old retard getting spam slapped. It was the pure essence of a Xeno Gamers Counter-Strike server. Without the slap, there is nothing. +1.

Icy shouldn't be a DM. The attitude that he has towards others is not indicative of how a member should be acting, much less a higher up of the community. Screaming, insulting, very easily becoming angry. Ask anyone and they'll take a worse player on their team over Icy because he's such a negative person. There isn't much else to say.

I would like to say a few things here, a couple of which may have already been said. 1. There is no such thing as a 7 hour a week requirement, it is 14 hours in two weeks(In response to @mrnutty12). This means if someone can't be on for a week or so, they have the opportunity to do all 14 hours in one week, or it could be 10 hours in one week and 4 in the others (which I don't encourage anyways..) and even at that, if they are unable to play I'm sure @Tekk @Kypari and @SegFault wouldn't have an issue giving them a pass if they explained their situation to them. 2. We have the hour requirement because even though being a staff member is a volunteer job, it is still a JOB. Like all jobs, it requires commitment, if you aren't committed to what you do as a staff member then chances are you won't be performing like one, quality over quantity. At the end of the day, like @TBOHB said, people step down for their own reasons. I don't recall seeing someone step down because the hour requirement was too harsh, and there is only a handful of people that have been demoted for inactivity. If they don't find the game fun anymore, or they just don't want to commit to being a staff anymore, then that is their choice. The same could be said about everyone that decides to stick around as staff, every two weeks they decide whether they want to stick around and commit their time to the servers or not. They probably enjoy the game, or maybe they just stick around because of how much they care about the future of the clan and want to see it succeed, but regardless of what the reasoning may be, they still have to follow the requirements laid out for all staff members. Not only would having a basically non existent hour requirement hurt the image of the staff team, it would also more than likely be seen as unfair.

This wasn't made to get him to leave the community entirely. It was made to question why he was in a leadership position in the first place and to maybe help him start to see the flaws in his ways. Be a little more mature about it.

For starters, I seriously don't understand why people take 10mans super serious in the first place. Literally NOTHING is at stake. As for Icy, I straight up refuse to play with him. That's why I never pick him if hes in a 10man and I'm team captain. He also has this "I'm always right" mentality because he thinks matchmaking rank means anything....LOL Pretty much this.

As someone who was bullied out of the community LITERALLY (@rabid @any cs member who isnt relatively new), I think I'm allowed to "give my 2 cents" As many of you may know I'm pretty toxic in 10mans so I shouldn't be talking, but it's usually towards players who are genuinely assholes (does not make the case better I know). I'm not going to say any names or anything but uhh....wait nevermind lol, can someone please tell me why our DM of minecraft has been up for discussion to be banned from 10mans? @icy or whatever that kids tag is on here. I'm sorry for starting shit but this kid is the most disrespectful person in xG I have ever met. I get upset in 10mans over stupid shit just because I am a "more experienced player" and I totally understand that a lot of the players I play with are new, but icy will straight up just scream at new players who don't even know what they did wrong in the first place. I don't know where the "superiority" comes from in his brain because he's an average player but he thinks he's the best. I have talked to MULTIPLE higher ups about this and some are confused on why he's dm in the first place. The most positive response I got was "no one else would do it". ? @Icaybaby expecting a response

I was staff for a month or so and had no problem finding time in my day to join the server and just chill for a hour or two. while I was dislocated from home because of a house fire and staying with family. If I can do that, anyone certainly can, I also take care of my grandmother who had cancer and has to use a cpap machine to breath at night, and just alot more other life stuff, If you can't put in the time and effort you're just lazy, 14 hours in 2 weeks is baby stuff, I used to put 200 hours biweekly into source when i was like 14, people have lives too, and we have to acknowledge all that Kypari, Nutty and Caleb have done and how Long they have been here and how much of their time and lives they have sacrificed to make the tf2 div what it is now, can you blame them? sometimes people need a break from it after doing it for so long. the more I read this thread, the more it seems like a Joke. Maybe we could bring paid Moderators back.

0 please refresh up on the rules, while on earlier you were supporting everything that the warden was saying about rules when he was blatantly wrong and I kept questioning him while hiding my admin from him. said warden ended up with a ct ban and you were supportive of his case.

Considering you've tried to pretend you've been banned longer than you have after the ban was already posted in the thread and ignored the main reason for the ban (massing), I'm gonna give this one a no. Feel free to make a new protest after another month or so (that's a 30 day month btw), or do one of the unban challenges in this thread.

When we still did it, the captains chose who was fat-manned. It wasn't always automatically Goldfish; when it was, it was because the captains preferred a different player over him. I don't think that's harassment. Every interaction I've had with him in the last week or so, nobody was bullying him in any way (I'm not saying it's not happening, I'm saying I haven't personally seen it) and he was still lashing out, yelling, etc. and being generally annoying on his own, without anyone provoking him. We've done most everything we can to help him change, and he refuses to learn. Warnings, mutes, gags, even bans have no effect on his behavior. He also thinks that us warning him/punishing him when he ignores warnings is us 'bullying' him - I don't know if he's completely serious but he says it often ("Goldfish, stop yelling dude" " x stop bullying me I'm not yelling!"). Sorry if this derails the thread, but Goldfish is a unique case.

I didn't except myself to be here, but after my big change I wanted to finally be able to fill in a spot on the xG Staff Roaster. It might seem very weird that me, a guy who got permed would even think about joining the staff team, but my main goal is to keep xG alive all the time. Usually at night most of the staff are asleep and this has been a problem on many occasions. Once there was a hacker and so many people did a calladmin, and no one came, soon everyone left the server because it was so unfair. I usually always stay up even on weekends, so the 14 hour biweekly will not be a problem for me. I am a ex-staff on European Studs, 1+ years, so I know the 5 basic commands that mods get, which is slay, kick ,gag ,mute, and ban. I know all the different ways to use the commands, via Admin Menu or Console. But my main reason for joining xG staff is because, I just wanna be involved, I want to help people, I don't wanna be a backseat mod anymore. I wanna help in EVERY way I can, I will be the first to answer to any calladmin (if I'm on, and not at school). This has been something that has been flying around in my mind for a long time, but due to past actions, it got away, but ive recently caught up to it and now I'm finally doing it. I know all about Staff Rules, I'm only an enforcer, but I have to respect people the right way, and I know abusing my powers will go against my oath I made back awhile ago when I made my Unban Appeal, because this is disrespect to the team. I know when to be serious and when I can just mess around, though on xG I've never seen a serious moment occur, only when I got punished. xG will be my hotspot forever, and I hope the team will accept me as their newest mod, if not. Something needs to be said about this. Everyone in the TF2 division is quitting all at once and they all have the reason for it: The servers have gotten stale and 14 hours a week (2 hours a day) is too much Here's what should be done IMO: halve the requirement (7 hours a week). It's a matter of keeping good staff members for the long-term. I don't think the current model of cycling though staff members every few months is a good one. Also, with a 7 hour a week requirement, wouldn't the servers be understaffed? No, I don't think so. With the lower requirement, we can simply have more TF2 staff members for one thing, and !calladmin and discord and the forums exist for a reason (that reason being the servers can't be staffed 24/7 anyways.

We've been able to add custom stats to weapons for a while, and while I've stated that I don't really like straying from vanilla tf2, I think a great way to give the trade servers some extra pizzazz is to give some of the worst and least used weapons some sort of functional utility. Once again, I don't like the idea of removing aspects of the game that people would normally play with. Even though I hate the scorch shot, I would not advocate that we change its stats to be shit because that'd only alienate players who'd like to use it. But in cases like The Volcano Fragment, Reskins, or weapons that are just so awful nobody wants to use them anyway, I think it would be cool if we could collectively try to give them some unique utility. The community would also have absolute say over the stats of a weapon via voting, which is something in tf2 you don't generally experience. Normally it can often take months or years for broken experiments to finally be fixed, but with community involvement it lessens the chance of something going horribly askew, and even if it does it's easily reversible. But mostly I just think it could be fun.
