Also, in no way, shape or form am I trying to say their "rig" sucks, but in my personal experience you get more out of Intel and GeForce GTX working together. Plus warranties are longer and the computer itself will not need to be upgraded for over 5 YEARS! Statistics it's what I do, I am good at it ;)

Pick my build out of all these kiddos. AMD 8350 Best amd cpu on the market. Can out perform i5-2500k sandy bridge. Can buy a 2nd card if u ever wanna SLI.

Cpu cooler is fking awesome and can oc 1.2GHZ without any hunch easily. Have the same cooler btw. Case is pretty huge because it's a fking HAF 912. So overall my build out of all these kiddos are better.

Pino HOW THE SHIET! How can you even say that AMD processor versus the one I proposed is anything? That AMD is almost the equivalent of a duo core processor, 2.4Ghz. NO! Hun, go with my build Pino is obviously on crack, he is solid on that Graphics Card, but he probably did the cocaine half way into building that rig. Plus you'll have the powersupply to not even have to worry when you want to upgrade your specs higher! Plus with that case you don't need a fancy HUGE CPU FAN! JESUS! So here's my question. Do you want to pay $960 for shitty components? Or pay $888 for more RAM, faster CPU, a reasonable Motherboard, (for your qualifications) and a cooling system built IN THE CASE ITSELF? Like I said in my experience, AMD has been really slow for the many years I have used my other computer, I always go to my Intel based computer to play video games. Pino, lay off the drugs man. ;D

i5-3xxx series is bad tho..

Might as well get a i5-2500k.

I know amd has bad reputation but there are good benchmarks with the 8350 out there.

My build rig is quite solid due to the fact it has a good mother board and can add a sli and 8350 can last for a few years ahead. Want proof heres some benchmark comparing 3450 vs the 8350. Also 16gb IS WAY TOO MUCH just for gaming. His not gnna do coding/programming/and other stuff. All he needs are 8gb enough for gaming + if possible streaming as well.

Pick my build has sli/cf config compatibility mobo and octa core. Can oc MORE with the cpu cooler i suggested as well.

Intel Core i5 3450 vs AMD FX 8350

I had the 8350 and did benchmarks. Its not the same performance as the DUO INTEL core processor it's . If u haven't tried it then please dnt talk shit about it. Yes some amd however does sucks AKA the AMD 9xx series and the 6xx series. But the bulldozer is actually really good tho.

Benchmarks that beat almost other intel cpus out there.

What Pinoy said. 8350 is definitely the best value on the market right now. You could wait for Haswell, but it's not looking too promising.

Ignore the blind Intel+nVidia fanboy. AMD has the best offer as of now, regarding CPUs. GPUs are more of a personal taste, but Physx can be loaded on to the CPU, so don't let that be a worry. In the end, it comes down to preference.

I know yours is solid. BUT the only thing I PERSONALLY would change is the CPU on yours, not like it matters but its overpriced to me. But as far as graphics both are equal who cares if its a GTX or a Radeon, Radeon i hear is slow though, never had the gaming experience for one.

Anyone who is an Intel fanboy please watch this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4et7kDGSRfc : stop saying Intel is better, the AMD fx-8350 is a great CPU. I have no problems starting up almost any game on the market today. The Intel 3570k is $229.99 compared to the AMD fx-8350 with the same performance being $199.99. DMT if you wanna stay under your budget and still have an amazing pc go with AMD and save some money for better things, like more ram or better motherboard. For the graphics I would highly recommend the GTX 660 or the AMD 7870. Those 2 cards will have no problems with ultra setting on most games. As for ram it all depends on what you are doing. Anything Video editing or 3D animating go with 16GB but if you are just gaming, 8GB will be enough. As for an HDD i would say 1TB would be more than enough and maybe with some extra cash get a 120GB SSD from Kingston. Case is really all up to you to pick out, cause different people have different tastes. Like Rowthar said earlier, Mouse and Keyboard don't matter but your monitor might. you can find cheap monitors but my suggestion is just fuck monitors and get a FUCKING TV SCREEN. they will do anything you want. sure it may be more expensive but you can have multiple uses for it. Power supply is not really that important. ONLY thing you HAVE TO look for is 80 plus bronze certified. If you don't want to pay extra for a CPU cooler than just get a case with a lot of fans. Motherboards are not hard to price out just look for one with the right socket and atleast 2 PCI-e slots. If you wanna SAVE money than go AMD but if you are an Intel fanboy go Intel...
