It's not the colour of the keys, it's the colour of the switches. The best ones are called "Cherry MX [colour]". Most people prefer reds for FPS games. Blues are what most people think of when they hear "mechanical keyboard", it makes a loud click and has tactile feedback. I don't have a guide but you could search for one on the internet.
